User Experience / User Interface Designer

RedEye is looking for a sharp and highly capable UX/UI Designer to join a friendly, growing UX/Optimisation team, working with major brands across the financial, retail/fashion, travel, media and gaming sectors (one client has over 150 million visitors per month!). Work with and learn from an experienced team, on exciting projects to design exceptional user experiences and optimise some leading brand websites and landing pages.

Who we are looking for:

  • You will have an excellent sense of visual and user interface design
  • You will be very interested in making user interfaces easy to use and more effective for online businesses
  • You will be passionate about User Experience Design, UX, Usability and optimisation
  • You will have lots of ideas and be able to clearly explain and rationalise
  • You will have had 2-4 years agency experience as a UX/UI/Interaction Designer
  • You are able to work directly with clients and contribute to new business opportunities
  • You are always determined to deliver projects on time and to exceed the quality expectations

Skills you must have:

  • UX/UI Design, Wire-framing and prototyping (preferebaly using Axure)
  • Excellent Photoshop skills
  • The expertise to optimize even the best ecommerce websites and landing pages
  • An understanding of ecommerce websites and optimisation best practices
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • You will be comfortable learning and using new software, and do not require formal training in order to quickly understand how to get the most out of the tools available to you.
  • Nice to have – an understanding and experience of XHTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Nice to have – usability experience
  • Nice to have – understanding and experience with AB/MVT tools
  • Nice to have – understanding and experience with Google Analytics, or other web analytics solutions
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK – right now, not in the future.
  • You must have fluent written and spoken English.

Mid-tier UX Consultant

We are looking for a sharp and highly capable person to join a growing Web UCD/UX and optimisation team, to work with major brands across the financial, retail/fashion, travel, and gaming sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to work and learn from an experienced team, and to help build leading edge UX and optimisation services for great clients.

Who we are looking for:

  • You will be passionate about User Experience and User-Centred Design.
  • You will have had 1-2 years agency or client-side experience as a UX / Usability practitioner, including the moderation of usability testing sessions.
  • You have started to build your UX/UCD practitioner commercial experience – leading and delivering projects.
  • You may have gone onto further your UX credentials, possibly with an MSc in HCI or related subject.
  • You are able to work directly with clients and contribute to new business opportunities.
  • You are always determined to deliver projects on time and to exceed the quality expectations

Skills you must have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – if you don’t naturally put people at ease, this is not the career for you.
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation
  • Excellent team working skills
  • You will have an excellent aptitude for working with data and are comfortable using intermediate to advanced Excel spreadsheet functions and features.
  • You will be comfortable learning and using new software, and do not require formal training in order to quickly understand how to get the most out of the tools available to you.
  • Nice to have – understanding and experience with Google Analytics, or other web analytics solutions
  • Nice to have – understanding and experience with XHTML/CSS
  • Nice to have – technical and UX understanding of web accessibility
